The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

My listen of the moment.
I love the vintage feel of the video, it makes me want to take a road trip to nowhere in particular.

Dear summer,
Please invite my into this dream.

Oh Karl, You Wacky Wacky Guy

Karl Lagerfeld has been popping onto my screen more than usual lately.  I have taken a liking to him, having never been a Chanel girl.  I think he laughs at fashion, all the while keeping a serious face.  He has a little bit of Mad Hatter in him, don't you think?  He is secretly mocking you from behind his sunglasses.  I love a good mockery!

Dear Mark Fast

This bothers me.
Yay for you, you are refusing to use the standard size 0 model, with aires of anorexia and a slight addiction to doing lunch; aka cocaine.  I applaud you for utilizing the "real" woman, but where there is age appropriateness, there is also size / body appropriateness.  I am sorry to say, and I promised myself I would not be mean on the interweb, but you have made the "real" woman look like a cheap hooker who has eaten too much pie.
This is a mockery.  This is meant to represent?  Why don't you represent with something flattering.
Epic Fail.

Danny Roberts

Ok, I will stop talking about him now.  It's just that I think he is very talented.   And I love a good video comp.  And that IS my favorite Radiohead song.

People For Other People

Bloggers as Stars.  Social media influence vs. Hollywood influence.  Tavi conjured more interest along side runway than anyone and who is she? Well, she's kind of fabulous, is what she is.  Although, at 14 years old, she IS kind of passé...

Moving along...
Many bloggers have teamed up with inter-global-galaxy peeps to be immortalized via illustrated t-shirts.  I think it is just ace.  The illustrations are great, and you don't even need to know what you are wearing other than a pretty draw-ring!

Here are a few:

Please Take A Moment To LOVE This

Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse.

I am behind the times.  This album did NOT come out last year.  The collaboration of Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse was having legality issues with their record label, EMI, and the release date was pushed back indefinitely.  Until now!  it is due to be released July 13, 2010!!

David Lynch put together a booklet of stills for the album which was being distributed with a blank CD-R. He also collabs on a song, along with a slew of artists including members of The Strokes, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, and more!

I stumbled across this purely by accident Youtube-ing Sparklehorse as a joke for a friend!

Best find ever.

My favorite is Little Girl with Julien Casablancas of The Strokes.  It goes out to Tu-Linh, my #1 follower.  Check her out.

Stuff White People Like

So. Stuff White People Like is dedicated to bringing light to the things liked by the white folk and what douch bags we really are.  In a good way.  Thanks Zu, my #2 follower, for bringing this into my life. I love the story behind every entry.

Most notably, Moleskine NotebooksIt screams: “I’m not using my computer to check email and read celebrity gossip, I’m using it to create art.  Please ask me about it.”

It's funny cuz it's true.  Taking a year off, self aware hip hop references, hating people who wear Ed Hardy,  being offended... the list goes on!

Take the time to read a few; hilariosity ensues.
