Jessica Hische Day Ruining Notepad : Genius!

"Jessica Hische is a typographer and illustrator working in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from Tyler School of Art with a degree in Graphic Design, she worked for Headcase Design in Philadelphia before taking a position as Senior Designer at Louise Fili Ltd. While working for Louise, she continued developing her freelance career, working for clients such as Tiffany & Co., Chronicle Books, and The New York Times. In September of 2009, after two and a half years of little sleep and a lot of hand-lettering, she left Louise Fili to pursue her freelance career further. Jessica has been featured in most major design and illustration publications including Communication Arts, Print Magazine, How Magazine, The Graphis Design Annual, American Illustration and the Society of Illustrators. She was featured as one of Step Magazine’s 25 Emerging Artists, Communication Arts “Fresh”, Print Magazine’s New Visual Artists 2009 (commonly referred to as Print’s 20 under 30), and The Art Directors Club Young Guns."
"Letter-sized notepads full of tear-out-able sheets of the invoice for Services RenderedDay-Ruining. How to Make it in America

Opening scene, Cam doubling on a bike with a little Jewish boy and says "Stay strong Hebrew" as he gets off the bike.  Ben is hot, Cam is hilarious, the guy who did Stiffler's mom is in it, and so is Samaire Armstrong who was in Entourage, OC, and Dirty Sexy Money (why did that show only run 2 seasons? It was ridiculously marvelous. Hello? Donald Sutherland? Billy Baldwin?)  Back to Samiare Armstrong, her face is weird.  It's like her jaw is fighting paralysis.  But I still like her, I'll probably watch anything she's in at least once.  Anyways, How to Make it in America is a fun show that I plan on trying to remember to watch.  Maybe someone can TVO it for me?

Akila Berjaoui, Who Are You?

Really though, I love you.  You keep popping up everywhere and all I know is that you are Australian and fabulous.

T-shirt War!!

This stop-motion video is really fun.  It takes me back to high school when my friends used to make stop-motion films starring Captain Banana and other cowboy misfits venturing over cereal boxes and kitchen sinks.
Vair cool.  Check it out.

Androgyny

I came across these photos and it got me thinking of women dressing like men and women
who look very masculine in their femininity. I loved this shoot of Chloé Sevigny,
(I didn't even stop to think it was a woman until the caption said "Guess Who")
it made me think of when Charlotte dressed as a man for a photo
shoot on Sex and the City and wanted a bigger sock.

Skateboards on Cheeseburgers

So speaking of Serge Gainsbourg (love), I came across this vid of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Beck. I never was a huge fan of Beck, but I think I will have to revisit him.
It really needs to be watched more than once to capture all of the oddities.
My favorite parts are the skateboard on the cheeseburgers and the fab white tennis dress.
Love.

Everything I Have

This really made me ponder the importance of all many belongings. I often find myself gazing around my home overwhelmed by the abundance of "things". I picture myself hauling out a garbage bin and clearing surfaces and shelves and drawers.
But, alas, when I do try to downsize I get caught up in old memories...

Artist Simon Evans had a good idea.

Aller! Salut Poupeé!

Love Anna Karina. Love Serge Gainsbourg.
He is unapologetic for his love for many women.
She resists, but she loves his attention.
